Tulum Excursions

We are very excited you will be visiting us in the Riviera Maya! Your hotel location allows easy access to many of the best attractions our destination offers. We are planning private designated transportation just for Sigler attendees for
these activities and we have tailored these activities especially for your comfort and convenience.

Complimentary Tours

Each attendee is entitled to 2 complimentary tours. The first included tour is of the Tulum Ruins on March 4th.  We are making the assumption that all guests will attend. The second tour is your choice between Yal-Ku Snorkeling or ATV Express.   Example 1; Tour 1 is Tulum Ruins and Tour 2 is ATV Express. Example 2: Tour 1 is Tulum Ruins and Tour 2 is Yal-Kú Snorkeling. In order to select your 2nd complimentary tour, please follow the link below.

Tulum Ruins Tour - March 4th

Tulum dates from the post-Classic period and is the only Mayan settlement ever discovered completely surrounded by a wall and constructed alongside the sea. Located 45 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, it sits on an incredibly beautiful Caribbean beach. Tulum is small but offers some incredible insight into the life of the Maya. The site contains remnants of approximately 60 structures. You will
never forget the view from the cliff overlooking the Caribbean.

ATV Express - March 2nd & 3rd

Drive one of the most powerful ATV’s in the destination for a wild ride down jungle trails, full speed ahead around curves and over roots and rocks. Our fleet of Can-Am 450 Outlander Max ATV’s are waiting to take you on the ride of your life. Nature is up next! After all that fun you’ll be ready to cool down and enjoy a snorkel in our underground sacred cenote with crystal clear waters.

    Note: Optional collision insurance is available for $15 single / $25 double. Pay at the venue in cash if desired.

  • Inclusions: Private group transportation, bilingual guide, private entrance to location, ATV ride with safety equipment, snorkeling equipment, lockers, rest rooms, showers, dressing rooms, purified water, biodegradable repellent and sunblock, medical insurance and fees, taxes and gratuities.

  • Bring with you: Comfortable clothes, sunglasses, bathing suit, extra t-shirt, towel, money for miscellaneous expenses.

  • Physical Limitations: Not recommended for people with severe physical /motor problems, or people not able to handle moderate physical activity, cardiac or pregnant women. People who have had recent invasive surgery should avoid swimming / snorkeling.

  • Travel time from hotel: 30 minutes

  • Duration: 9:00am-12:30pm

Yal-Kú Lagoon Snorkeling - March 2nd, 3rd, 5th & 6th

Enjoy amazing snorkeling in the pristine waters of Yal-Kú lagoon. Guides will be on hand to show you the best snorkeling techniques as well as explain the amazing sea life you will encounter.

  • Physical Limitations: Not recommended for people with severe physical/motor problems, cardiac or pregnant women. People who have had recent invasive surgery should avoid swimming / snorkeling. Basic swimming skills required.

  • Travel time from hotel: 15 minutes

  • Duration: 9:45am-12:30pm

Additional Activities

Additional activities available at your own expense include Catamaya Catamaran, Rio Secreto, and Xplor.

After you have selected your tour(s) to purchase, we will send you a PayPal request for payment (you do not need an existing PayPal account). All pricing includes gratuities and taxes as well as all likely fees, minimizing additional out of pocket costs. If you register in advance but do not make payment by February 21st, your reservation will be cancelled. No online reservations will be accepted after this date though you will be able to sign up for these activities once you arrive to the hotel based on availability. We will have staff based at the hotel to book you on these tours and provide you with any information you need about other tours and activities.

Cancellation & Refunds

Regarding cancellations and refunds, please note 48 hours in advance of activity time is required to qualify for a refund. CEO does retain 10% to offset administrative costs. Activities operate rain or shine. In the case of the catamaran, should the Harbor Master close the port due to rough sea conditions, you will receive a full refund. 

Catamaya Catamaran, Puerto Aventuras - March 5th

The Catamaya sailing and snorkeling tour is a relaxing adventure activity in a 65’ deluxe catamaran on the Caribbean Sea! People will receive a welcome non-alcoholic cocktail on board while the crew is introduced, and the day activities are explained. The activity starts with a sail of 45 minutes toward the reef where people will have the opportunity to snorkel. During this sailing, light fishing can be done from the boat while meanwhile the crew distributes the snorkeling equipment and life vests. While you enjoy the snorkel tour, the crew prepares the grill to offer the onboard lunch according to your selection. Open domestic bar will be also offered at this point. Once lunch is finished, the catamaran set sails to port.

  • Physical Limitations: Not recommended for people with severe physical/motor problems, cardiac ailment or pregnant women nor for people susceptible to motion sickness. People who have had recent invasive
    surgery should avoid swimming / snorkeling. Basic swimming skills required if you are going in the water. No handicap facilities.

  • Travel time from hotel: 25 minutes

  • Duration: 9:00am-2:30pm

Xcaret Park - March 5th

Paths wind through the jungle of this immense park to a series of small Mayan temples and all that remains of an ancient port - a lagoon, sheltered beach, and rocky inlet.  The feature attraction of this park includes the spectacular underground river which traverses through a series of caverns on a thrilling adventure some 2,000 feet in length.

The park also contains an amazing aquarium, an aviary, wildlife corner, dolphins and manatees, butterfly farm, turtle farm, crocodile pit, bat cave, botanical garden and a replica of a Mayan village. Other options and activities available at extra charge include off-shore snorkeling and diving tours, horseback riding and dolphin swims. You can see and do it all at this park!  Buffet lunch with soft drinks, snorkel gear and VIP locker area included in this package.

Chichen Itza - March 5th

The most important Mayan archeological site in the Yucatan, Chichén Itzá became a regional religious and ceremonial center during the early Post-Classic Maya period (900 A.D -1200 A.D). During the panoramic ride through the lush green jungle to Chichen Itza, a bilingual guide will explain about the interesting Mayan Culture and what they will see once at the ruin site.  Among other important structures such as the Sacred Well, the Ball Court, the Temple of the Warriors, the Observatory, you will find the main structure pictured above - "El Castillo" the pyramid of Kukulcan, site of the famous equinox phenomenon.  This is a fascinating tour for those interested in exploring ancient cultures. The guided visit will last two and a half hours and be followed by free time to explore. A buffet lunch with beverages will be enjoyed prior to heading back to the hotel.

Xplor Park - March 6th

  • Physical Limitations: Maximum weight 300 lbs for zip lines. Not recommended for pregnant women, people with back issues, heart disease, severe mobility issues, or claustrophobic.

Rio Secreto - March 6th

One of this destination’s greatest attractions is Rio Secreto, an underground river system that dates back a million years and runs through a series of caves. Dare to live a fantastic experience and enter this “museum” filled with a kaleidoscope of speleothems and walk and swim an easy 600 meters amidst the thousands of stalactites and stalagmites found in this protected natural reserve.
